Pascalies

note: i edited a few bus travel details in the last post, this is what happen.
what we thought was going to be a 7 hour bus trip ended up being an 14 hour endurance ride. we thought we would arrive in tecamon central at 11pm, but didn't arrive till 6.30am the next morning.

we messed around trying to put board bags into small sedan size taxis and in the end we needed 3 taxis for 5 people. rocking up to a new place in the dark isn't really my favorite way to arrive. but we found a hotel first off that only had one room for us. so we took it just so we could put our stuff in there and wait till sunlight to surf.

first surf here put all my worries to rest about this place no good for waves, its way better than Puerto and a lot less paddling. after that surf we moved into the hotel next door, which had balcony rooms that look over the beach. so now settled in, everything is good for some solid time in the water.

the only thing about this place is, there is not much else to do other than surf. the closest town is a bus or taxis ride away and it goes onshore around midday every day. which gives a lot of time waste till bed time. the internet connection is limited through out the day, there is a wireless connection but is out a lot of the time, which brings much happiness when it works haha.

the three days i have been here for have been real good waves(kind of like 4-6ft boodjinup, really peaky with more sections and ramps) Im glad i made the mission down here, i think i will do fine putting up with hardly any internet for the time being, as its giving me the time to finish a book a started reading 2 months ago while in europe.

p.s nick perry, you should come here instead of Puerto. and u r gey mang.

Alcapuco part II

Puerto Escondido is a great place and all, but seriously its a pretty over rated close out, it was no where near as perfect as we had hoped. maybe we were a bit out of season or something. so we decided to head somewhere for better waves, makable barrels and somewhere that doest take a half an hour to paddle out. we spent a few days researching and trying to decide where to go. in the end it came down to 2 options. a little place called pascalies 20 something hours north or puerto rica. when it came down to it Puerto rica was going to cost nearly $800 in the end with flights and pascalies would be a hell of a lot cheaper and we would get to go through alcapuco again. which we all wanted to do cause we hadn't really had much night life in the past few weeks.

I'm now writing this while on the bus leaving alcapuco, heading north for 14 hours to pascalies.

i cant really string together to well of what happen over the weekend so ill put it into dot form.

-forking out a bit of cash to stay in a full on hotel, first time i have had a hot shower in a month.

-paradise nightclub, $28 entry then open bar till 4 am also unleashed dancefloor/madpasher

.-got done by the police for swimming at the beach in the dark?!?! had to give over all the money in my wallet or they were going to take me to the station. corruption.

-ate kfc and mcdonalds. amazing

-palladium nightclub, the flashiest night club i've been to in my life. bouncers let us skip the line cause we weren't mexican haha. $40 entry with open bar. this place was insane it was up in the hills and had a massive glass window on one side that looked over the whole bay of alcapuco.also first time ive had to wear jeans and shoes in a month.

-got invited into a vip booth with some girl who said she was a latino pop star and had a record deal haha. fully lived it up with waiter brining us drinks. pretty much the only guy in the booth.

-loudest music i've ever heard, my ears are still ringing. danced for ages. also mad pashed.

-got home at 8.30. slept for 4 hours then packed up and bailed to the bus station.

killer weekend., i hope the waves are good at this joint, cause if they aren't i'm going back to alcapuco. ragin maaan
